Visiting Malta? 🇲🇹🤔 Here are 5 Things to Consider 🌍 👉Where to Stay? Valletta, Saint Julian's, and Sliema are the most popular areas for tourists to stay due to their proximity and central location on the island. However, consider staying in 'Birgu' or one of the '3 cities' (Vittoriosa, Senglea, or Conspicua) for an authentic historic feel and to be surrounded by fortresses. 👍 If you're looking to stay in quieter areas, look to the north of the island, or consider Gozo. Malta's sister island is a favorite for Maltese looking to get away for the weekend and enjoy a more rural and less crowded area. 😉 👉 When to Visit? The best times to be in the water are summer and early fall, as the water is warmer. However, the clearest waters are in the spring and wintertime, so if you're into scuba diving, consider visiting around these times. 🤿 The rainy season (Nov-March) brings the little rain that is needed to make the island pop with color. So, if you're a person wishing to be outside with great weather, hiking, biking, or exploring... consider visiting anytime November thru April. 🌱 👉Be Prepared With over 300 days of sun each year, make sure you have a good pair of sunglasses, as well as protection from the elements. Especially in the summertime. 😎 👉Be Comfortable It can be very hot during summer and very cold in the winter with the humidity, so make sure to dress appropriately and have good comfortable walking shoes. Most of the streets are older and can be slippery, so watch your heels. 😳👠 👉How Long to Stay? Depending on how long to have available, I suggest nothing shorter than 3 days just to see a few sights and leave you wanting to come back for more. ❤️ It's much better to stay 5-7+ days to give yourself more time to explore and not feel rushed. 🏃♀️ Remember to respect the island, its culture and its people; and leave no trace behind wherever you go.
