Hiking the Victoria Lines of Malta 🇲🇹❤️🌍 The Victoria Lines were built by the British military between 1875-1899 as a 12km long defensive wall fortification. They divide the island on a natural fault line, dividing the island north from south. 🤔 The historic path runs from Madliena in the east, through Mosta, and to the limits of Rabat on the west coast. ☀️ Malta has a lot of great places to explore, and the winter brings the rainy season, which brings the green back to the islands. 🌱 If you're visiting Malta, I suggest the off-peak seasons, between October through April. This is the best weather to be outdoors all day, especially if you're a hiker. 🥾 I've walked every single meter of all three islands, and I can tell you that hiking the coastline is beautiful in spring. 😍 Wherever you visit, please remember... 🙏 Always make sure to leave no trace behind.
