Festivals: Why Malta Is Always Partying

Summer in Malta means Festa season. Every weekend, a different village celebrates its patron saint. It involves:
- Huge statues carried through the streets.

- Carnival (Feb): Colourful floats in Valletta. Weird, macabre costumes in Nadur (Gozo).
- Santa Marija (Aug 15): The biggest festa of the year. The island shuts down.
